The Chili Supper was a HUGE success. We never expected such a wonderful turnout. The weather was a bit cold outside but what better time to have a hot bowl or two or three of chili. It was nice to see our neighboring Lodge's come out and show support as well as Eastern Star, DeMolay, and Job's. Unofficially we estimate we had roughly 150 guests give or take! With a 100 hot dogs, 70 grilled cheese sandwiches , 10 gallons of chili, and a dozen or so of pies, cookies, and brownies being ate, it was another hugely successful event for YOUR Lodge. If you didn't make it to the supper you missed out again. A lot of fellowship with old friends reminiscing about the past, people admiring the new storage units, and looking at our Lodge history on the tables. Nights like these are priceless. It makes a person proud to be a Mason. A big thank you goes out to Stu Trainer, Dallas Day, Tom Lehman, Rob Jackson, Carey Carter, and Greg Colelli for helping out in the kitchen and in serving the food. A special thank you to the wives, Brothers, and the Eastern Star, who unselfishly help prepare and bake dessert for the supper. It was just a good night, all the way round, for Waynedale Lodge # 739!
Thank you for a great and wonderful evening,

Brothers and friends,
Last weeks Hog Roast was a huge success. This was the second annual roast the Lodge put on and it is getting bigger and better every year. The weather was almost perfect and the fellowship was excellent. I like to thank all the Brothers that came and help cook the hog, the Brothers that took on the kitchen duties, and the Brothers and Ladies that supplied us with over 30+ pies and desserts. Our events can only be successful with the teamwork of all of us working together and supporting each other. Again, thank you for all your generosity and support of Waynedale Lodge.
Just a few reminders:  1) The Ft. Wayne DeMolay will be having a Spaghetti Dinner at the Lodge this coming Friday, the 30th, starting at 4:30pm.        2) There will be NO Saturday Breakfast  on July 1.                    3) The Job's Daughters will be having a carwash on Saturday, July 1, at the Lodge starting at 8:00am. Please stop by and show your support for our future members.

Brothers and friends,
Our Saturday morning breakfast was another huge success. We are hovering around 100 patrons at each of our breakfast's. We are seeing new faces every month and hopefully one of them is yours. Come and join us for an all you can eat meal consisting of eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, french toast, and a bottomless cup of coffee or juice for a free will donation. You can't beat the price. There's not a better time to meet new and old acquaintances and get good food on top of it. I would like to thank Brothers Dallas Day, Bob Frock, Greg Colelli, Bob Bier, Tom Lehman, Carey Carter, and all the others for giving up their Saturday morning to come and help out. It's events and activities like this that helps maintain and make improvements to the Lodge. Please try to come out and support our efforts. Don't forget we are also having our Annual Hog Roast / Open House on Saturday, June 17, from 4:30pm - 7:30pm at the Lodge. Last year we had over 100 guests at the event and are hoping for a much larger crowd this year. We are still in need of desserts for the event. Please call or email me and let me know if you can help out. Please try to attend and support YOUR Lodge.
Thanks,
Don

Brothers and friends,
What a week for Waynedale Lodge! This past Tuesday and Wednesday several Brothers and I attended the Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge. This Communication was a very special one and is one for the history books. On Tuesday our Past Master Carey Carter received the Grand Master’s Award with HIGH Distinction, a first time ever for Waynedale Lodge. On Wednesday, Brother Greg Walbridge, Past Master, was installed as the Junior Grand Deacon in the Grand Line. In a few short years Brother Greg will be our Grand Master for the State of Indiana. Two very high awards and accomplishments for Waynedale Lodge. History in the making! Congratulations Brothers for making Waynedale what it is today, we a very proud of you.
On Saturday several Brothers of Waynedale and Waynedale’s Job’s Daughters participated in the Fort Wayne All City Cleanup. We, as a team, walked several of Waynedale’s streets and cleaned up the area at the park. We also helped the neighborhood association clean up a lot which belonged to a disabled elderly couple. All in all, we helped collect over 80 bags of trash and leaves. I would like to thank our Brothers: Mike, Rob, Tom, Lee, Bob, Carey, and Daughters: Tiffany, Lydia, Asia, Leah, Allie, Katie, Leslie, and Linda who participated in this community event. It’s events like this that puts Waynedale up among the best!
Also on Saturday, the Fort Wayne DeMolay held a car wash at the Waynedale Lodge. They had a very beautiful and successful day. Thank you for those who supported their event.
It is very gratifying to see our youth of today (future Mason’s and Eastern Star) work hand in hand to make this world a better place. They enjoy life to the fullest and our truly deserving of our support and dedication.
Brothers and friends, Waynedale Lodge is very active in the community and support all of our youth organizations. We continually strive to improve our events and activities and welcome suggestions and participation from all of our members. Please try to attend an event and see for yourself what Masonry is doing.

Please keep in your prayers, Bob Bier's wife, Marty. Marty has been moved to the Transitional Care Unit at St. Joe Hospital and will be there for a couple more weeks getting physical therapy and antibiotics. She is in Room 904 Bed # 1. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers and I'm sure cards and flowers would be most appreciated to lift her spirits.

Brothers,
We had our spring fish fry last Friday at Karen’s Kitchen, and what a fish fry it was. Once again, if you were not able to make it, you missed out! The line started forming about 3:45 and never let up till after 6:30. The official tabulation came in with over 210 meals being served. 210+ meals in 3 hours—UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Waynedale is one special Lodge and is very fortunate to have Brothers and Sisters who care enough to make this special evening spectacular. A BIG THANK YOU goes to Brother Pat Pedden. If it were not for Br. Pat’s establishment and generosity, none of this would have happened. Thank you, Brother Pat!    Another BIG thank you goes to Ms. Ethel Sklenar, Bob and Sara Frock, and Tom Lehman. These Brothers and Sisters came in early Friday morning and prepared all the side dishes for this event from scratch. It takes a lot of time and energy behind the scenes to prepare for such an outstanding event. Another BIG thank you goes to the Brothers and Sisters who help serve our patrons. Brothers Stu Trainer, Larry Lehman, Rob Jackson, Mike Satterthwaite, Greg Colelli, Dallas Day, Tom Lehman, and Brother Pat. Thank you Brothers for giving up your Friday evening for this occasion. And now to the good stuff—desserts. Thanks to the Ladies of Eastern Star and our Brothers and wives, we had over 40 pies!     40+ pies, plus brownies, plus cake, plus all those calories. What a way to finish off a night! The Ladies of Eastern Star are a huge part in making our events so successful. They too spend a lot of time and energy behind the scenes doing whatever is necessary to make our events successful. Thank You Eastern Star!
Brothers, the BIGGEST THANK YOU goes to you. Without your support and patronage, none of our events would be successful. It takes ALL of us together to make that Light shine through.
Thank You Brothers for making this another wonderful event!

Another GREAT DAY at Waynedale Lodge. We had our monthly breakfast on Saturday and what a breakfast it was! We broke another record as we served 110 guests. We had our Brothers from our neighboring Lodges, we had our neighborhood neighbors, we had surrounding Community Associations attending, and best of all we had several of our own Brothers attending for the first time. I like to thank Brothers Dallas Day, Keith Hinton, Bob Frock, Greg Colelli, Rob Jackson, Tom Lehman, Pat Pedden, Stu Trainer, and all the other Brothers and ladies who stepped up to help out. It takes all of us together to pull this off every month. Brothers,
If you missed the Stated Meeting on Wednesday, you made a BIG mistake. You missed history in the making! Not only was the Right Worshipful Deputy Grand Master, James M. Barkdull, in attendance, but he announced in our meeting that Brother Greg Walbridge PM, has been selected to serve in the Grand Line. What an honor this is for Brother Greg and for Waynedale. It has been quite a few years since a Brother from northern Indiana has been in the Grand Line. History in the making Brothers!!  Congratulations Greg, Waynedale is proud that you are a Brother and one of such caliber!
Brothers you never know what is going to happen at Waynedale. This past month has flew by with so much activity it's hard to keep up. We had our Saturday morning breakfast, two degree nights, Founder's Day (with Br. Carey Carter giving a presentation),
Job's Daughters, Shrine Circus ( Waynedale Lodge is highly represented with Brothers helping out with the Circus), OES Bean Supper, and more that I forgotten about. This is YOUR Lodge, come and help us grow and be a part of history.
I hate to bring a cloud into this little note, but we have 75 members who have not paid their dues. If you have not paid, please send in your money ASAP. Time is running out. If you are having difficulty in paying- please call me or one of the Officers, we will work something out.
This is a great Fraternity. Don't lose sight in why you joined!

Respectfully,
Don Feller  WM

Jan 25, 2006 we raised two new members at Waynedale. Brothers Andrew Waugh and Michael Bailey III. These are two very fine gentleman who will make Waynedale a bigger and better place. Congratulations and welcome Brothers!
I would like to thank all the Brothers who attended and participated in this sublime event. A special thank you goes out to Ms. Ethel and Bob and Sara Frock for all their hard work of cleaning and fixing of the meal.
Please keep Brother Ron Harruff in your prayers. His surgery was more complicated than expected and I will keep you informed when I hear more.
