Master Mason Degree October 24th
Brothers,
I would like to thank all of those who came to our Master Mason Degree. It was as memorable for those who came as much as those who it was conferred upon. As many of you know we dressed up in full regalia for the first time in... Well a lot of the men don't even remember when the last time was.
Be ready for more Degrees like this in the coming months.
Grand Master's Town Hall Meeting November 2nd 7:00 pm Downtown Temple

All Master Masons are encouraged to attend and bring along any questions you would like for the Grand Master to address. Please be sure to pass this on to your Brethren so all have the opportunity to attend. This is open to all Masons not just officers.

November 7th we will be treated to Brother Al McClelland's Master Chef cuisine. Please come around 6:00pm. Wives are welcome to dinner too!! Bring all your friends cause brother Al will be preparing for over 40 people. That is more than double what we would normally serve.

CHiP Program July 22nd at Paiges Crossing
We have been asked to participate in the Scottish Rite Family Picnic at Paiges Crossing in Columbia City on July 22... that is a Sunday, just three weeks hence.
We will have assistance from Whitley County Sheriff's reserves.
Waynedale Lodge now owns 3 - Sony CD500 Digital cameras, complete with tripods, and ac adapters. We have the ability to enroll, weigh in , verify height, and fingerprint at two stations, then we can present to parents the DNA kits for collection at home, and we can make a short CD of the child to provide to the parents.
Brother Don has made PVC stands for much of these items...
now what about tables and chairs, and of course, we will need assistance (manpower) for this event, even though the reserves will be assisting.
other items needed... additional CD's. These are the mini CD's and I am not certain where these are available in Fort Wayne.
a banner announcing this is:
"Waynedale Lodge #739, F&AM"
"Helping you Identify your child"
We have not charged for this service in the past and I would really appreciate not charging now... maybe we can ask the organizations for whom we are doing this service to provide some monetary assistance with purchasing of disposable items such as the disks... your thoughts please???
One last thought... did anyone get a copy of the script for the conversation on camera with the child?
Thanks RB
And Thank you
Fraternally,
Robert S. Jackson IV

Brothers,
We will be hosting the Grand Lodge Officer Workshop at Waynedale Lodge #739. We need several brothers to help with welcoming, serving lunch and clean up. If you are able to attend, please respond to this e-mail so we know how much help we can expect. Many brothers take for granted that there are always the same people helping out. This is your chance to help. Even if it is for a short period of time we would love your help.

Meatloaf March 10th
One of the great things that we at Waynedale do so well is cook. It is also something we do to raise funds to support our many projects. In my travels to other lodges, I meet some wonderful masons. What really warms my heart is to meet a Waynedale Mason. There is a special pride at Waynedale, and I really hope you can make it to our Meatloaf Dinner.
Job's Daughter
I have received a communication from Becca Cooper, Honored Queen of Bethel # 8 meeting at Waynedale Lodge, for a special night honoring their Masonic Family on Tuesday March 20th.
They would like for all the Masons and Eastern Star members that are able to attend their meeting.
As a special addition they are going to have a "shadowing program" whereas a person is to be assigned a girl to sit with during the meeting, and also participate in the "living cross" with at the end of the meeting.
If you would like to participate in this "shadowing" please contact Rebecca Cooper at 710-50896 or Kathy Cooper at 710-5086.
Pass the word to all our Masonic Brothers and Eastern Star Sisters, and lets see if we can show the girls the most support that we can.
The following was from Brother Ronald Buskirk:
I am sorry to inform you that tonight March 3, 2007 my father Oliver 'Sonny' Talbott suffered from a major heart attack and died at approximately 9:30 p.m. As Dad and I have talked about numerous times he will be donating any and all organs and tissues that are able to be used and all the paperwork was filled out immediately after he was pronounced dead. They will harvest tonight to better the chances that they can help someone and as per our instructions first priority is given to help out the children as they are the most precious and deserving. Just remember that he is in a much better place now so don't grieve for his passing, but only for our loss. I am really sorry for the manner in which this is being delivered, but I am exhausted right now and those of you who know me know that I am not much good on wording things so I am just telling you all this way. I am logged into his email account and am sending this to everyone in his address book, but it would be greatly appreciated if you could pass this information on to anyone else who knows him. I will be checking back on his email account here the next few days if you have any questions for me. Once again, I am sorry to inform you all this way, but for now it is the best I can do.
Please keep Ron and his family in your prayers.
Fraternally,
Robert S. Jackson IV

Stated Meeting is February 7th
Our last stated had a wonderful meal before the stated. And even a few wives came a long. This month we'll be having a choice of chicken marsala or chicken piccata with some sides. It should be a real treat. Dinner starts at 6pm and if you could bring $5 to offset the cost of the food.
We'll have some great business to attend to at the meeting and we should hope to close around 9pm. Our Masonic Education will be a report on the Founder's Day Announcements.
Is it cold enough for ya?!
Warm up with this February 17 with our Chilli Dinner. If it is anything like last year, you'll be in for a treat. Don is a master chef when it comes to, well anything in the kitchen. But after this cold snap, it'll be nice to warm up with.
Charles "Chuck" John Kennell
I received a report from a good friend of Chuck, and he's not doing so hot. If anyone is interested in seeing him... He is at the Coventry Meadows Nursing Home. I will attempt to see him Tuesday (Feb 6) around 4-5pm. Please keep him in your prayers.
Recap the Breakfast Club
We had almost 100 attend our breakfast, but the fun we had was even better. Our next Breakfast is March 3rd. Come early, to get prompt service. If you come at 9am or later, it is a mad dash to get all those orders in. Special thanks to all that has helped out with the breakfast.
New EAs This Month
Being that the 2nd Wednesday falls on Valentine's Day we're going to hold the degree on Thursday February 15th at 7:00pm. Hope to see you there. This will really be an influence on these gentlemen who are joining our lodge.

It is with great honor and respect that I have been elected and installed as one of the youngest WM at Waynedale Lodge. At only 33 years old, I’m not the youngest WM to serve at waynedale lodge. The Sipe boys were under 30 years of age when they served as master, and so was Michael Motter but that was back when I was in diapers. I’ve been a Mason since the Grand Master’s Millennium One Day Class. Perhaps by my age, I may approach the WM’s Chair with a different perspective and new ideas. I hope that I will make you proud.
Before I forget, if you don’t have your dues card, chances are you didn’t pay them. That means your late!!! Don’t make me call you!!!
One of my goals this year is to try and bring some of our inactive brothers back to the lodge with the several activities that we have planned. And I’m sure at least one of our activities will attract you, and if not, let us know what we can do for you.
Our Feast of St. John’s hosted our very own Al McClelland. We toasted, we sang, we feasted and it was all good. A Very special thanks to Ms. Ethel and “Company” for a fabulous feast.
This year we’re starting a new tradition by having a meal before our stated meetings. This will hopefully bring more brethren who might be skipping a meal to come to lodge. These meals will also be open to families as well. To help with the cost of our dinners please bring $5 and your appetite.
On January 13th from 4:30-7:30 pm we’ll be serving up a Chicken Noodle Dinner this is open to the public, adults $6 and children $3. Although this is a fundraising dinner, it is more about getting together and socializing with brothers, neighbors and our friends.
February 17th is our Chili Dinner 4:30-7:00pm. Prices are $5 Adults $3 Children. This is Don Feller’s famous chili, not too hot, not too chilly. Don Feller is proud of his hot dog cooker too, so let’s see how fast he can dish it up for you.
Our Saturday Morning Breakfasts are the best, and it is something I look forward to. Thanks to Don Feller PM and the many brothers who help out in serving the best breakfast in Fort Wayne. If you would like to help with serving and cleanup at our breakfasts, please feel free to join in.
We’re hopeful in having some EA’s in February so listen for the phone tree and e-mail alerts. To subscribe to our phone tree call the lodge and leave a phone number. The website is a great please to get up-to-date information and subscribe to the Waynedale E-Mail Alerts. www.waynedale.com

The feast of St. John's can be attended by Master Masons only.
Help in Busco
The following came from Bill Hosler:
Brethren,
I received a call from the Worshipful Master from Churubusco Lodge #515. On December 28th they are putting on the Master Mason degree for a student who will be home from Purdue on Christmas break.
This lodge has been in dire straits for a long time, they have raised very few new members in the last few years and those that were raised were done in One day classes. They have virtually zero members who can do degree work.
They are asking for our help to raise this new brother. They need someone to act as WM during the first section and an entire cast for the second section and people who can do the lectures. They are scrambling to find people within their lodge that can do some of the parts but they need lots of outside help.
They will be serving dinner at 6:00pm and degree work will begin promptly at 7:00pm.
I would really like to take a lot of brothers there and really make a good showing.
Fraternally,
Bill Hosler
You can contact me as to make some arrangements with Busco's Lodge. wm@waynedale739.com or (260) 478-4567
Installation Saturday
I wish to thank all of those who made our installation great. It went exactly as planned and everyone had a great time. I would like to thank Don Feller & Greg Walbridge for such a memorable installation. And Pat that is with two "L's"
Don Feller did a great job this past year and has taught me so much about sitting in the East. Carey Carter PM did an awesome job taking photos of the installation. They'll be posted on the website this Tuesday Evening.
Thank You.
Merry Christmas To You and Your Families
